Well, the cutting of the bars went fine. Except my hands are kind of tender from reefing on the bars. Titanium is a lot harder to cut than copper or aluminum, I must say.
I am a little disappointed with these bars. At least weight-wise. The claimed weight on the website is 158g. Well, when I dropped them on my scale before cutting, the 25" bars tipped the scale at 238g. By the end of the surgery, the bars alone tipped the scale at 200g even. But I have to add the 16.5g of the small spacers or 20g for the oversized 31.6mm shims. So for a 23" titanium bar and the prestige of Seven Cycles on my rig, I swap 216.5g for the 22" Easton EA70 bar currently on there. Claimed weight for the EA70 is 145g. I will add it's actual weight when I pull it off and see where I stand. Maybe this set of bars is the stiffer version of the bars. They do seem to be extra thick versus some of the other ti bars out there. Hmmm...
