You are looking at the 27.2 Syncros Ti ProPost from the previous entry. This is really difficult to photograph the crimps as the titanium hides the flaws. But, I placed the highlight right on the most severe of the crimps to get them to show. The waves in the material appear worse in person, but it's as good as I can capture.
Anyway, I heard back from Moots! But their representative stated that they do not have the equipment to work with 31.6mm titanium stock and wished me good luck on my search to find what I need. Another dead end (wonk wownk...). I am now backed into a corner and will pursue my final 3 options: 1) Contact the new Syncros since they used to make them before to see if they still have the capability to source and create them, 2) contact USE to see if they can do it since they are the last reputable maker of titanium posts I know, and 3) make one myself/custom make a post... anyone else want one... oh wait, I don't have liability insurance.
(*sigh*)
Update: I found an adapter claimed to convert from 26.8 to 31.6. It is specifically for USE suspension posts, but it should work for this application. I have a spare 26.8 Syncros Ti ProPost for the sole purpose as a backup for a matching (albeit older) Syncros on my Bontrager hardtail. It is brand spanking new and sitting around for about 6 years. If this works...
