SID Blue Continued

Well I've been pretty busy with a lot of things and especially with the "Special Project" mentioned earlier. However, I've managed to complete the front wheel of the singlespeed project. The first pic is right after I finished the truing process. Straight as an arrow. I need to verify and document the spoke tensions, but that's it for the hard stuff. Next step is to apply the rim tape. The second pic is of the yellow sidewall tires I was thinking of using for the build draped over the wheel. After doing this, I'm not all too sure I want to use the tires. Kind of looks a little cheesy.

I've been working on obtaining a White Industries Eno Eccentric hub but they are hard to come by. On eBay, Bikeman keeps selling black 135mm 32 hole units for below retail, but it isn't what I need; a silver 135mm 28 hole unit. I found a LBS that'll get one for $130 but I found a mail-order place willing to give one up for $123 and change. $7 tax or $11 shipping? I need to get some DT Spoke freeze and some 265mm DT Revolution spokes. I do have some 267mm spokes, but I'm not sure 2mm too long may mess up the build. I also need to get a freewheel but I'll need to figure out my gearing.

The next installment for this should have me weaving up a 3X rear wheel and soon revamping the singlespeed for non-tensioner duty. By Spring I hope I'm applying custom decals and making a few rides that rival the other steeds in the stall.
