Wednesday

So I thought it would be interesting to see what I look like in the process of getting out there and going for a ride. A few observations through the magic of self portraiture.

This here is me just getting home from work and the half-hour commute on the highway with all the "in the same boat drivers trying to get home" to take the edge off with something. Some a nice meal. Others a swig of the bottle. Me? Going out for a ride with the guys in high humidity. If you notice, I have a slight frown on my face... evidence that I didn't take the back way home.

Now I've gone in the house, gabbed with the wife some and changed into appropriate cycling garb. The bike is loaded up and the Gatoraide is sitting next to me, nice and cold. You can see a slight scowl kicking in... just a sign that I'm starting the psych myself up for the ride. Ah... and safety first... I already have my seatbelt on! What a dork.

And finally, this is me after 14 miles of hammering... OK, not the whole 14 miles, but a good chunk of it. Notice the tired smile? Yeah... that's the ticket. My eyes look a bit disheveled, sweat is oozing all over... but my hair isn't too far off from what it was... No helmet-hair for me!

I get home relaxed, shower up and go for a nice walk and talk with the misses.

ZZZZzzzz
